I'm Turing Into One of Those People Who Take Pictures of Every Damn Thing and Then Make Everyone Look at Them

Well, at least I don't have 45 pictures from the same night out, or something, where all the pictures are so nearly identical you could put them together as a flip book. I haven't reached that stage yet.

Anyway,

I haven't seen any good dead birds lately, but I've been enjoying my new (to me) Sony Cyber-shot 4.1 mega pixel camera. There is a series of paths along the river (yes, there really is a river here, in Chicago, and one (very ridiculous) person who doesn't believe it exists can't make it go away), running from Berteau to Montrose. It was a good place to indulge my other photo-interest.

There's also a dead, old, tree along the bank which is covered in graffiti, and other markings, like this, I don't know, bear?

This is turning into a very photo-ey post, so I might as well put in some old flower pictures, taken with my older (new to me) camera, back in New York.

Ok, that's it.

No it's not, here's one more. I was trying to take a picture of these little guys the whole time I was out, but I couldn't get close enough to them (zoomed all the way in with the macro setting you need to be about a foot away, but it's better to be zoomed all the way out, and be only two inches or so away, and that's tough with living subjects). Then this one landed on me, which made it really easy. I figured it was related to dragonflies in some way, so I checked What's That Bug? and it's a damselfly, though I don't know exactly what kind, and it seems neither do they. It's one of those species that has lots and lots of varieties, and who can be bothered, really, other than those with degrees on the line? Anyway, they're neat little guys.

Ok, that's really it.
